Hunt. Maine's virgin forests and unspoiled coasts make it a mecca of tourist hunters. Different species of upland birds fly over its coastlines. There is an abundance of ducks and waterfowls. There are more than 300,000 deer herds , more than 40,000 moose, and more than 24,000 bears living in the state. It is a land of very diverse animal population, and a haven for seasoned hunters.

Swim. Maine too is gifted with many white sand beaches in its southern part, blessed with almost 6,000 miles of coastline. There are a lot of wonderful resorts and lodges near its beaches that teem with tourists surfing, swimming, walking, and basking in the glory of the sun. In relation to beaches, the state is also given three beautiful rivers that are becoming popular spots for whitewater rafting. These are the Kennebec, the Dead, and the Penobscot Rivers. Tourist flock these places during April through October, times when the rivers best provide high-water rafting.

Cruise. Lastly, Maine boasts its windjammers, old-fashioned ships built to transport heavy cargoes from port to port. Windjammer cruises are an experience of a lifetime, as no other place can offer this kind of relaxing activity. Windjammer cruises range from three-hour to multiple day tours. The ship visits small fishing communities, uninhabited islands and beaches, other significant places and landmarks within Maine.
